Roy Earle is a character that appeared in 2011 video game, L.A. Noire. He was a corrupt Chief Detective of the Vice department. He is Cole Phelps' partner during his time at the Vice desk.
Why He Sucks
- Despite being a Vice detective, he has no purpose whatsoever.
- He is a very corrupt cop.
- He smokes too many cigarettes heavily. He also drinks too much alcohol occasionally.
- A lot of times, he's very careless to Cole Phelps' partners during shootouts.
- He stole a lot of $1,000 dollars which was actually evidence, after claiming "the department owed him fifty," when the department only owed him $20. He should had going to jail for that!
- He'll even mock Cole Phelps for not taking cover. How harsh could that be?!
- The Los Angeles Police Department didn't even bother firing him for personal reasons.
- He possibly hates doctors (except Dr. Harlan Fontaine), and blames them for drug and vice problems. What!?!
- He tried to Order Cole Phelps to stay away from Elysian Fields, but it ended up as a failure.
- Cole Phelps and most of the major characters really dislike him.
Redeeming Qualites
- He gave speech to Cole Phelps death in the church at the end of the game.
- His red 1947 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible, looks really nice.
- Adam John Harrington did a good job voicing him, despite the characters corrupted tone.
Reception
The character was being hated by the game goers, fans of the series. It considered to be the worst, and unlikable character in L.A. Noire.
