Mother Gothel is the main antagonist from the 2010 Disney movie Tangled.

Intentional Bad Qualities

1. To get the cat out of the bag, she is quite portrayed as Rapunzel's overprotective mother who forbids her from going outside.
2. She's lazy because she forces Cassandra to do chores without even helping her.
3. She is a horrible mother to both Cassandra and Rapunzel.
4. She even insults Rapunzel to begin with.
5. In the beginning of the film, she kidnaps Rapunzel without knowing that she could get arrested for kidnapping someone in real life.

Good Qualities

1. She is sometimes a good mom to Rapunzel.
2. Her singing voice while singing Mother Knows Best is beautiful all thanks to Donna Murphy.
3. Donna Murphy did a great job voicing her.
4. The franchise wouldn't be the same without her.
