Tsukuyomi (ツクヨミ) is an amnesiac young woman who initially had no memory of her past before discovering her true heritage as a princess named Alpina (アルピナ, Arupina), she is also the tritagonist of Kamen Rider Zi-O.
Bad Qualities
- The biggest problem with Tsukuyomi is that she's mostly relegated to being the show's damsel in distress, while it is the worst within her, it doesn't help that that trait, is mostly utilized throughout the majority of Zi-O, which could be unbearable at times.
- She has little to no personality, there are some instances where we could see her emotions, but in most instances she tends to just be emotionless almost having a mechanical feel to her character.
- Her backstory/origins, felt really strange and out of place within the storyline, and the whole existence of Tsukuyomi's origins, as it didn't even contribute to her character growth.
- Also her "Betrayal" towards the other riders, also was really strange as it featured scenes of Tsukuyomi where she is completely out of character.
- Her debut as Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi, was extremely underwhelming as if it only existed as a last minute effort in order to sell more merchandise, not to mention the span of this rider within the series didn't even last a minute or two, rendering it as pointless.
- She barely has any chemistry within the other Zi-O characters, in a few instances she could act antagonistic towards Sougo, or just like with Takeru in Ghost, if Tsukuyomi is just a character being acted out.
Good Qualities
- Her suit design is pretty nice to look at, as it feels like a modified variant of the Zi-O suit, also the coloration is very beautiful as it makes it stand out among the other Zi-O suits (with notable exceptions).
- if it wasn't for Tsukuyomi, who wouldn't have the infamous/famous "Tsukuyomi the Ring meme".
- Fortunately they resolved the lack of a proper fight scene, for her thus in her later appearances as Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi, who would actually see her participate in a battle, even having her own personal finisher done on screen.
- Her unexpected return in the Revice special Girl's Remix.
- She has very nice hair, and she is very cute and attractive. And Kamen Rider would not be the same without her.
