Talk:Sparky (The Fairly OddParents)

At one point, this article was in the Average Characters category, but Patrick Man removed him from it since he has gotten mostly negative reception. However, there are still a plenty of amount of reasons why he should be put back in it:

1.Sparky is not as bad as Chloe for many, and never stole the spotlight from Timmy.

2.There are still a lot of episodes where he can be likable, like "Dinklescouts", "Turner & Pooch", "The Terrible Twosome", "App Trap", Viral Vidiots", "Two and a Half Babies" (in which he does not appear in), "A Perfect Nightmare", "Stage Fright", "School of Crock", "Dimmsdale Tales", "The Past and the Furious", "The Fairly Beginning", and "Fairly Odd Fairy Tales", since all of those episodes were well received by fans and critics alike mostly.

3.There are still a handful of fans who support and like this character.

4.He is a dog, so he is not bad for many.

5.He is nice, and cares about the people he meets.

6.He can be funny plenty of times.

7.His relationship with Timmy is heartwarming at times, because they are both man's best friend.

You’re still trying to fight this, huh? Like dude, give up. And those episodes you listed barely even focused on Sparky. This is how I know you don’t even watch the show like that. I also don’t think neither Dinklescouts or Turner & Pooch were good episodes either, the former being average and the latter being well below average since I thought Crocker was an idiot in that latter episode. The rest of your pointers are just you pointing out your own personal opinion that have little impact on the major issues that Season 9 has. What matters the most is that he is generally disliked for obvious reasons (no explanation needed on that particular).

I am not fighting it, and I looked at the Turner and Pooch images on the FOP wiki.

I have watched the show at times.

Then you should know that those episodes (except Turner & Pooch) you listed barely even focused on Sparky, even though he was added to the main cast until Season 9 ended. Most of the episodes in Season 7 onward were more focused on Dad, Crocker, and sometimes Foop anyways.

Aside from the comments section on both TFOP Wiki and TFOP-related videos on YouTube, TFOP in general doesn’t get talked about as much in the local news media (ex. The NY Times, etc) because supposedly it is not as popular as other long-time running shows. All we really know for sure is that Sparky was not well liked upon his debut. So he should not be in the average category.

OK. I think that Sparky technically plays a major role in the episode if he has a lot of scenes like two or more, and there are still many articles about something that has gotten negative reception, but is still in the Average category.

What if Sparky was never retconned, and the season 10 finaly had him being givin to Chole and the two would be side characters. Do you think it would work out if Season 10 was like this.

What if fans still hate Sparky and Chloe? Will Butch Hartman be fired for this?

All this never-ending talk about Sparky and Chloe and yet nobody says anything about how flanderized Timmy, Cosmo, Wanda, Timmy’s Dad, Crocker, Jorgen, and Foop were, most of the secondary characters being sidelined, the abandonment of continuity, the frequent rehashing of older plots, the absence of Poof in most of Season 9’s second half and all (but one episode) of Season 10, etc.

You guys are aware of all of that, right? Sparky and Chloe were just the final nails in the coffin.

As bad as Chloe, Vicky, Tootie, and Timmy's parents are, they at least have some good moments in this show.
