Should we add the lists back and reword them?

Now that this page has been fixed up, my brain has thought of a delema, and it's about the lists. We removed the lists in the first place to help fix up the page, but now I'm having issues thinking about what we should do with the list now. Now, my thought is that we could REWRITE the entire list; when we do so, we will instead explain why characters are mean popular girls or boys, and it will not be so overall long like last time. So, what do you guys think?

    Suppai (talkcontribs)

Certainly. Let’s make sure the characters actually fit the description of the tropes and aren’t just mean.

    Reviweing97Shows (talkcontribs)

    List has re-begun.

What should we do with this page?

    1. most of the first several paragraphs discuss tsundere and himedere characters, which is quite informative but somewhat off-topic.

    2. It's another page with a long list of characters, a bunch of female characters that are mean, most of them without explanations. Of course, some of the examples shouldn't be there to begin such as those from PONY.MOV and Hell's Kitchen.

    ShawnTehLogoBoi (talkcontribs)

We should mark it for cleanup. Plus, I'll remove the long list.

    Suppai (talkcontribs)

And I suggest that we could merge the Mean popular girl and Mean Popular boy pages since the latter doesn’t have different reasoning.

    Reviweing97Shows (talkcontribs)

That's...genius! I'll admit I was a bit scared of the decision, but the lists seems to be the main problem with this page. I'll also merge mean popular boy in with it as well.

    SweetBoy (talkcontribs)

I feel that's what we should done in the first place

    ShawnTehLogoBoi (talkcontribs)

I honestly agree with you, SweetBoy. We should have created the page like this, so it won't cause confusion.

    Suppai (talkcontribs)

Unless there are legitimate reasons that mean popular girls are different from mean popular boys aside from gender, I would not separate the tropes.

    ShawnTehLogoBoi (talkcontribs)

    I agree with you, Suppai.

How Do I Make A Likeable Mean Popular Girl?

I Think That A Likeable Mean Popular Girl Is Better Than An Unlikeable One So How Do I Make One?

    ShawnTehLogoBoi (talkcontribs)

Dude, please Do Not Type Like This.

    NJPet (talkcontribs)

See, that's the reason why I mimmicked his "typing style".

    ShawnTehLogoBoi (talkcontribs)

Sure. But I think PokeDigi should not Type Like This. He really needs to start typing like this instead as Typing Like This makes the pages look unprofessional.

    Money12123 (talkcontribs)

I don't think any of them are "likable", I think that it's just that some are still well-written characters when others are extremely poorly written.

    ExploringEditor (talkcontribs)

I say no to that because in my opinion, the user was probably wanting to know how to balance off the jerkassery of a Mean Popular Girl by giving us something we should like about them. Which would be a "Jerk with a Heart of Gold" type of characterization.

Just Look At The Good Examples Of Mean Popular Girls

    ExploringEditor (talkcontribs)

I guess the user was wanting to exactly know how to balance off the jerkassery of a Mean Popular Girl by giving something to like about them.
That probably would be a "Jerk with a Heart of Gold" type of character tbh.

Give your 'Mean Popular Girl' some sympathetic qualities. It's not hard to understand.

Me too, but it should be balanced their likability because being a Mean Girl and a Mean Guy is a bad thing.

    ExploringEditor (talkcontribs)

I agree. They can also have a sense of charm along with having something to like about them. Some examples of this include Harry & Marv from Home Alone and AOSTH Robotnik, two examples of characters who have something jerkish about their personality but they're very charming outside of their jerky qualities.
