Strong Sad (Doomy Tales of the Macabre)

Strong Sad (Doomy Tales of the Macabre)
"Well, I’ve saved the most macabre for last!"
    Gender: Male
    Type: Terrifying Poet
    Age: early 20s
    Portrayed by: Matt Chapman
    Status: Alive
Media of origin: Homestar Runner: Doomy Tales of the Macabre

Strong Sad is the main antagonist of the Homestar Runner 2009 Halloween special Doomy Tales of the Macabre. He was voiced by Matt Chapman like his original version.

Why He Intentionally Sends People to Dooms

    1. While this version of Strong Sad seems like a creepypasta at first, what makes it worse is that he is real. He likes making rhyming poems that are essentially death threats towards people who didn't invite him for Halloween.
    2. He is very mean spirited towards all the characters that didn't invite him over to their Halloween parties. He started off with the King of Town, who is the most expendable, and eventually to Strong Bad, who is his most personal enemy.
    3. He is surprisingly bleak for a Halloween special of a lighthearted and comedic animated web series. Usually, Strong Sad can be depressing but not that depressing. Even the Jibblies Painting, Marshie, and Mr. Poofers aren't as disturbing as him.
    4. After he kills or scares someone in his stories, their skulls show up as well as a haunting four note chord and green flashing lights. His own humanoid skull was shown at the beginning with the same lights and chord.
    5. His most macabre moment is where he decides to replace his brother, Strong Bad’s boxing gloves, with two unsettlingly realistic human hands, making Strong Bad feel like he's hideous and he can't type with “waggly knuckled monstrosities”.
    6. The way how he kills his enemies are like Death Note reality warping. He was able to transform Bubs’ Concession Stand into a giant Bubs head, killing Bubs.
    7. He is essentially a very dark flanderization of the original Strong Sad. Luckily, every other time Strong Sad is shown, he retains his original and likable personality.
    8. His costume makes him more frightening to look at.
    9. For Pom Pom and the Poopsmith’s death, he used an Ass Pull that didn't make sense for Pom Pom because he wasn't filled with a deadly gas.
    10. He struggled at rhyming his story about the Cheat and Strong Mad.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. He decides to not give Coach Z a terrible fate because he already had a rough life. “No sense in beating a dead horse!” He also doesn't kill off Strong Mad, Homestar, Strong Bad and Marzipan.
    2. Strong Sad is a better and less terrifying character outside of this special. The actual Strong Sad would never dream of killing his friends and brothers.
    3. Some of his moments are quite funny, such as where he mispronounces macabre a few times, struggles to make a rhyme about Strong Mad and the Cheat and at the very end where he breaks the fourth wall about a prop of his friends.
    4. Strong Bad’s fate is somehow cathartic because Strong Sad was fed up with being a butt-monkey by his older brother.
    5. His first two attempts on Homestar Runner backfired as Homestar enjoyed not bending his knees or having several knees.
    6. Matt Chapman does a great job voicing Strong Sad.
    7. He comes up with creative rhymes.
