    Species: Human

Media of origin: The Ricky Gervais Show

Stephen Merchant is the secondary protagonist of The Ricky Gervais Show. He is Ricky's friend and writing partner. Frequently tells stories of the awkward situations he's gotten into. Tends to be the most levelheaded of the trio.

    Why He Additionally Sucks Too

    1. Just like Ricky, he is also a jerk to Karl Pilkington. But, he's not too extreme like Ricky, but he's still a beta bastard.
    2. He is a butt-monkey.
    3. Every time in the ‘Karl’s Diary’ segments, he always reads Karl Pilkington’s diary and reveals his secrets, when he's not supposed to.
    4. He makes ugly/disturbing faces, like this one for example.
      • On the other hand, his face can be scary at times, like this one for example.
    5. He might be at his worst in Future. At the end of the episode, he tried to murder someone by strangling him.
    6. He is arguably worse than Ricky.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. He's still Stephen Merchant and is still funny to this day.
    2. His design is pretty good, as long as he doesn't make any ugly/disturbing faces.
