    Slappy Laszlo
"The excitement is killing me. Is it killing you?"
    Gender: Male
    Type: Creepy Stalker
    Age: Adult
    Species: Fish
    Portrayed by: Tom Kenny
    Status: Alive
    Media of origin: SpongeBob SquarePants

Slappy Laszlo is a character who first appears in the episode "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout," and is one of the many partygoers celebrating SpongeBob's party.

He later reappears as a recurring character in The Patrick Star Show, where he is an avid fan of The Patrick Show, and first appears in the episode "Bummer Jobs."

He is voiced by Tom Kenny in all of his appearances.

In his first appearance, he is a pale yellow fish with blue eyes, black combed hair, and a pair of buck teeth. He wears a black and white tuxedo with a black bow tie, and has a light blue fin.

In later episodes, he is now light teal with purple eyes and a brown suit.

    Why He Is Killing Us

    1. For starters, he's creepy, annoying, weird, and disgusting. Both of his designs are pretty ugly, especially his current one (even by SpongeBob SquarePants standards).
    2. He first appears in the line for SpongeBob's surprise party, where he creeps out Larry the Lobster by talking about cake while rubbing his stomach (a good example of being weird). He is later seen sitting on a table against Sandy's orders, where he swallows an entire cake whole and breaks the table in half. Soon after, he shouts "surprise," causing a riled up Sandy to punch him.
    3. He has no purpose in episodes other than filler like "There Will Be Grease" where he asks if Everything Juice will make his voice sound creepier, to which Mr. Krabs responds "Probably", and "Squidferatu" where he is a butler.
    4. In "Slappy Daze", he brings Nosferatu to the doctor, then he goes to Bikini Bottom for two hours. In Bikini Bottom, he goes to an arcade and plays various games, he goes to spray at water bottles, he goes to the Pet Store, and he finally goes to the graveyard for a picnic before he returns to get Nosferatu, showing he doesn't care.
    5. In "Lost in Couch", he appears outside of the window of Patrick's house (proving he's a stalker) after Squidina tells Patrick his fan-base is counting on him. He tells them to not mind him and that he "loves a good failure." At the end of the episode, he is disappointed when everything works out.
    6. In "The Yard Sale", he is seen at the yard sale, where he asks GrandPat about the cost of a brain he wants. GrandPat reveals that the brain isn't his, and Patrick states that it isn't his either, so Slappy is given the brain for free. Slappy then places a propeller hat onto the brain and spins the propeller, lifting the brain into the sky as he giggles madly, commenting that the brain is free.
    7. In "Get Off My Lawnie", Slappy is one of the lawnies who stalks Granny Tentacles throughout the episode. At the beginning, he is the only one to enjoy Patrick's nighttime performance.
    8. In "Patrick's Prison Pals", he scares Sockeye Sammy, whom he thinks is Patrick, by asking to take one of his teeth for his Patrick shrine.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. Tom Kenny does an OK job voicing him.
    2. He got his comeuppance when Sandy beat him up in his first appearance.
    3. Despite his design being ugly, it does have a unique Peter Lorre design.
    4. Let's be honest, at least he isn't a jerk like most of the other background characters.

    • He is a caricature of the actor Peter Lorre, who was also caricatured in many Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts throughout the 1930s to the 1950s.
