"Sounds typical, but it's a good reminder. This is no easy path we've chosen here, there are... sacrifices. Look at them all down there, Steven. It's our duty to let those simple people live out their simple lives, without ever knowing the burden of being friends with us." -Ronaldo

Ronaldo Fryman is a minor male character in Steven Universe. He first appeared in "Frybo", as a cameo, and had his first speaking role in "Cat Fingers". He is Peedee's older brother and Mr. Fryman's son. He works the deep fryer at Beach Citywalk Fries, and manages a blog entitled "Keep Beach City Weird". He is voiced by Zachary Steel, who also voices Ringo and Chunk Truck.

Why He's Intentionally a Bad Conspiracy Theorist

    1. Ronaldo is one of the least likable Beach City citizens in the entire show, second to early season Lars.
    2. He readily believes in things with little to no supporting evidence, such as in "Steven's Lion", when he assumes Steven's magical lion is invisible instead of nonexistent, and he momentarily believes Steven is pregnant.
    3. Ronaldo's obsession with the paranormal has also been shown to override his sanity and was even seen to be okay with sacrificing Lars to save Sadie from a being whom he believed was a spirit. This was also one of the reasons they didn't get along.
    4. His enthusiasm for conspiracies and the paranormal has also led him to be a bit paranoid and/or belligerent, such as when Ronaldo took hostile action against Steven under the impression he is a snake person. It's been taken to the point that Ronaldo fits more as a "villain" or a "antagonist/rival" to Steven instead of being some "anti-hero".
    5. At times, Ronaldo can unintentionally be rude to other people. When he becomes an ally to the Crystal Gems in "Rocknaldo", Ronaldo acts very selfishly. He becomes so infatuated with his role as "Bloodstone" that he doesn't realize the effect he has on Steven such as disturbing his sleep and acting maliciously manipulative. Thankfully, however, after finally passing out from lack of sleep, three weeks later, Ronaldo realized that he had gone too far with his attitude to Steven. He explained that he was only acting rudely out of jealousy and concluded that his place was not truly among the Crystal Gems and should remain an outsider.
    6. His voice is very annoying to listen to.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. Ronaldo is good-natured, but can be slightly pathetic, especially when dealing with supernatural phenomena and secret activities, like Beach City Underground Wrestling.
    2. At heart, Ronaldo is a kind person and is quick to apologize and beg for forgiveness if he accidentally offends someone.
    3. His blog is kinda funny or at the very least, okay. Fun fact: It’s run by the actual staff of Steven Universe.
    4. Thankfully, he hasn't been seen in later episodes, due to him being pointless.
    5. He was probably meant to be disliked for being a delusional jerk (especially in "Keep Beach City Weird").
    6. Despite being annoying, Zachary Steel does do a great job voicing Ronaldo Fryman.

    • It is highly likely that Peedee and Ronaldo's names are wordplays on the real-world restaurant McDonald's' mascots, Peedee being a wordplay of Speedee, Ronaldo of Ronald McDonald.
    • Zach Callison personally considers him his favorite character, despite his flaws.
    • His actor Zachary Steel also worked for other series like Disney Channel's A.N.T Farm, Comedy Central's Key and Peele and NBC's Parenthood (though he only appeared in one episode).
