    Princess Ann
AVGN: "Is she related to the the princess in Sonic '06?"
    Gender: Female
    Type: Infamously Bland Princess
    Species: Human
    Status: Alive
    Media of origin: Hydlide

Princess Ann is the deuteragonist in the game Hydlide and its 1995 3D remake for the Sega Saturn. She is the Princess of the Kingdom of Fairyland (also known as the Kingdom of Hydlide) Jim's love interest and was turned into three fairies by an evil demon named Varalys, and now Jim has to find the three fairies to put her back together again and defeat Varalys.

Why She's Way Too Much Of A Damsel In Distress

    1. As mentioned above in the custom heading, like Don Bluth's version of Thumbelina and Princess Elise, she is way too much of a damsel-in-distress. Though not as much as other better-written damsels such as Princess Peach.
    2. She along with Jim come out short by personality and character development. This makes her clichéd somehow. She's basically the generic "Damsel In Distress" type of princess with nothing else unique about her, hence the explanation.
    3. The spell that Varalys casts on her is splitting her into three fairies, which is barely creative.
    4. Her name is very laughable in a fantasy Princess context.
    5. At the end of Virtual Hydlide, she looks at the camera awkwardly, much like Princess Elise in mh:crappygames:Sonic 06.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. Her Nintendo Entertainment System sprite is cute-looking.
      • Her design and dress in Virtual Hydlide is admittedly gorgeous.
    2. She is nowhere near as pathetic as Jim is.
