The Prince from a Nearby Land is a major anti-hero who appears during the second half of the Greenhorne world and a minor character in the first half of the Neksdor world in Miitopia.

Why He's Intentionally Not A Prince

1. He can be a very annoying character. Here's a few examples to when he's annoying:
   • When he uses the Arrogance move in battle which asserts that he is better than everyone else or capable of combat which does not affect the battle in any way. What's the point of that if it does not do any damage.
   • When he is crying for his mama.
   • His rants during his, the Hero, and their teammates' walks to the castle.
   • Claiming the victory after the battle on the way to the castle was all thanks to his 'expert swordsmanship', much to the party's dismay and ire.
2. He even calls the Besmirched Noble's Son a DOG.
3. The fight between the Besmirched Noble's Son and the Prince from a Nearby Land gets so bad that even the King requests the Hero to find the Calming Fruit to calm them down.
4. He even unleashed a Genie who was formerly evil but the Genie later redeemed himself unlike the Prince from a Nearby Land.
5. After the hero grabbing the lamp from the Prince of a Nearby Land, he just cries for the rest of the game, even in the credits.
6. When the Princess' face got stolen, the Prince from a Nearby Land didn't care to save the Princess' face and he just ran off to Neksdor shouting "Mama!" like always.

Redeeming Qualities

1. He gets his uppence by the King allowing the Besmirched Noble's Son to marry the Princess.
2. Despite being annoying, his rants which tells about how when he and his caravan were attacked can be informative.
3. If weren't for him, we would had never saw the Genie of the Lamp come out of the lamp and even redeem himself.
4. He deserves to be a Butt-Monkey because of his actions to marry the Princess and that he is annoying.
5. If there's anyone you find annoying, you can make them the Prince from a Nearby Land in Miitopia.

Trivia

• The name for the Prince from a Nearby Land in promotional material of the 3DS version of Miitopia from Nintendo of Europe is John.
• The default Mii for the Prince from a Nearby Land in the Nintendo Switch version of Miitopia is named Jace.
• It's possible he was meant to be unlikeable since he was the rival against the Besmirched Noble's Son to marry the Princess.
