    Patrick Bateman (American Psycho 2)

    Patrick Bateman
What a disrespected way to portray such a iconic villain
    Gender: Male
Type: Disrespectful version of a iconic villain
    Age: 27
    Species: Human
    Portrayed by: Michael Kremko
    Status: Deceased
Media of origin: American Psycho 2 (2002)

Patrick Bateman is the overarching antagonist from the non-canon sequel to the original American Psycho film called American Psycho 2 (also know has American Psycho II: All American Girl) he only appears and dies in the intro to the film where he was killed by Rachael Newman when she was 12 after he killed her babysitter Clara during his date with Clara.

He is portrayed by Michael Kremko.

Why He (Intentionally?) Is A Psycho

    1. For a movie called American Psycho 2 he only appears in the intro which is just absolutely disrespectful to him.
    2. He suffers from flanderization in this film has he was turned into being just a serial killer who brutally kills people and nothing else (though this is likely due to his short time on screen).
    3. He while on a date with Clara kidnapped Rachael Newman and Clara drugging Clara and proceeds to kill Clara Infront of Rachael, who by the way was a CHILD at the time.
    4. His killing of Clara was poorly done as we don't see how he actually kills her, so it's confusing what the hell he's even doing to her.
    5. In a infamous moment Rachael (who was 12 at the time) kills Patrick Bateman with a ice pick after he kills the babysitter with is just extremely disrespectful to the iconic character.
      • On top of that it's extremely stupid as hell, like there's no way Patrick Bateman would be killed by a 12 year old after all the kills he's done.
    6. Overall, he's a extremely disrespectful way of to portray a iconic villain such as Patrick Bateman and is a example of what NOT to do.

    (Intentional?) Redeeming Qualities

    1. He was a much better character in the original film thanks to Christian Bale giving him some incredibly funny moments, huge charisma and overall great acting, he was also a better character in the original novel.
    2. Michael Kremko did at least try to make the character work.
    3. His killing of Clara is at least bloody unlike the other kills where no blood can be seen since most of them are off screen.
    4. At least he's some what of a attempt to try and make it somewhat related to American Psycho despite it's poor exaction
    5. He still has some charisma since he did convince Clara to go on a date with him.
    6. At least he isn't the one from the original film since the sequel isn't canon.
    7. He at least gets his comeuppance for his actions.

    Trivia

    • The movie he's from wasn't even supposed to be a American Psycho sequel, has seen in the screenplay titled The Girl Who Wouldn't Die.
