Mr. Akashi ( 先生 明石) is a minor antagonist of Yuyu Hakusho. Formerly a teacher at Sarayashiki Junior High. He is voiced by Sean Schemmel in the English dub and Ikuo Nishikawa in the Japanese dub.
Why He Sucks
- Just like Mr. Iwamoto, he is a selfish arrogant teacher who disciplines his students while having generic nonsensical evil plans to have them fail.
- His design is extremely ugly and creepy looking. He almost looks like the lost brother of mh:greatcharacters:Waluigi, Robbie Rotten, Dick Dastardly, or Boyacky Butsukusa.
- When Kuwabara and his gang saved Keiko, he spied on them and when they got back to school, he told them that they were in trouble because they beat the kids up, even though they were only doing it to save Keiko and that she was clearly being captured.
- He has no respect for the dead and others, as shown when he was happy that Yusuke died.
- He tried taking away Akubo's job because he along with his friends beat up the kids, even though it had nothing to do with the job.
- He teamed up with Iwamoto to try and expel Kuwabara. That would be illegal to do in real life.
- He got Kuwabara beaten up to death several times. To top it off, he would have gotten killed.
- He also made a unfair rule where if Kuwabara or one of his friends fails a test, Akubo will lose his job.
- He also hired the thugs to beat Kuwabara up.
- He doesn't even care for the safety of his students.
- He also rigged the test so Kuwabara would fail.
- He is a huge liar, even lying to the principal.
- He and Iwamoto barely have no reason of treating delinquents very poorly, making them as unsympathetic.
Redeeming Qualities
- Both of his voice actors did great jobs voicing him.
- Thankfully, he was fired after he was caught by Yusuke and Kuwabara's principal.
- He did get Kuwabara to study harder.
- At least Yusuke was right about him out to get him.
