Mo Morrison is a character from Pixar's 26th full-length animated feature film Lightyear, a Toy Story spin-off prequel film centered on Buzz Lightyear's origin story.
He was voiced by Taika Waititi.
Bad Qualities
- The main problem with Mo is that there is really nothing to him. He has no function other than providing cheap comedy.
- He makes many mistakes during crucial points throughout the film.
- He has been shown to be a coward, as he was willing to surrender himself to the alien beetles after panicking.
- He was meant to be a comic relief character, but his levels of cowardice, foolishness, and clumsiness practically never gets a laugh, especially for how overdone his jokes are relating to his little pen and improperly using a metallic bow and arrow, making him instead come off as annoying.
- While most of the film's characters are very flawed, one-note, flat, and clichéd, he is the worst example of this.
Good Qualities
- Despite all of his flaws, he does still try to help when he can.
- He does care for his friends.
- He does show remorse anytime he makes a mistake. He even admits that he tries to improve.
- Taika Waititi does a great job voicing him.
- His design is pretty great, and his suit looks cool.
