'Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa'
Makunga is a lion and the main antagonist from DreamWorks' Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, he is voiced by Alec Baldwin.
Why He (Intentionally) Sucks
He barely has that much screen time as the main antagonist, unlike any other DreamWorks villain that he even makes Nana feel more like the main antagonist in the film instead. (Soundsfamiliar?)
He also makes poor decisions by challenging Zuba to a fight but he keeps on losing to Zuba and is not a good fighter.
He honestly doesn’t do that much in the second film and is pretty lazy.
He is the shameless and watered-down ripoff of Scar of The Lion King. Down to nearly having the same design.
He doesn’t make a very good leader, saying that the only solution to the fact that the local water hole was nearly dry was that they all would have to fight for the water.
He could count as a Gary Stu due to all of these qualities.
He fools Alex into fighting Teetsi just so he can become the leader of the pride.
He manipulates Alex to get rid of him and Zuba just to be Alpha Lion.
Despite being the main antagonist of the second movie, he never interacted with any of the main characters, apart from Alex and his parents, such as Marty, Melman, Gloria, the Pengüins (Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private), or the Lemurs (Julien, Maurice, and Mort).
Alec Baldwin did a good job voicing him.
His design is good.
He got his comeuppance in the end when he get beaten up by Nana.
He was probably intended to be as dickish and unlikable as possible. In other words, a hate sink.
