Kim Cressly is a minor character in the comic strip & book series Big Nate. She has a crush on Nate Wright, the main protagonist, but Nate doesn't feel the same way and is also quite intimidated by her. Despite this, she thinks that Nate is in love with her, meaning she shows symptoms of erotomania.

    Why She'll Never Find Love

    1. She's an erotomaniac, considering that Nate Wright loves her despite contrary evidence, which gets really annoying and feels forced.
    2. She's super inconsistent as well. At one point she dumped him, the next she thinks they're back together, then later she finally realizes Nate doesn't love her, then later she completely forgets that, which is really confusing.
    3. Whenever she gets rejected by Nate, she threatens to do even more forced romantic or even violent things.
    4. She often wants Nate to engage in romantic activities with her that are definitely not things 6th graders do. This is a problem with the entire strip in fact, as 6th grade is considered by most as being too young an age to even date.
    5. Kim's worst moment by far was when she threatened a girl that had a crush on Nate to not go near him or she'll beat her up. This ruined Nate's chances of a potential relationship with that girl, and Nate literally said, "I'm going to die alone" which makes you feel really bad for him and makes you want to punch Kim in the face.
    6. Her design is just straight-up ugly, even by Big Nate standards.
    7. Whenever Nate simply talks to her, she thinks he's flirting with her.
    8. She used to date Chester, a violent psychopath, and whenever Kim talks to Nate it made Chester jealous leading to Nate getting shoved in a trash can.
      • However, Kim dumped Chester in the strip on March 29th, 2021 and went back to Nate because Chester "doesn't understand her like Nate does".

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. She doesn't appear that much in the strip anymore.
    2. She's become a bit more tolerable in the past couple years, but that isn't saying much.
    3. She's good at baseball, which has helped Nate's team from time to time.
