    Kersti
"You! YOU'RE the one who touched the comet! What is WRONG with you?!"
    Gender: Female
    Type: Whiny Fairy
    Species: Sticker Fairy
    Status: Alive
Media of origin: Paper Mario: Sticker Star (2012)
First appearance: Paper Mario: Sticker Star

Kersti is a sticker fairy who appears in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. She is Mario's primary partner throughout the game, and grants him the ability to use the Battle Spin and paperization. Many Paper Mario fans hate her.

Why She's An Annoying Sticker Fairy

    1. By Paper Mario (or the entire Mario franchise) standards, she's really annoying and unlikable. She blamed Mario for touching the Sticker Comet, even though it was mh:greatcharacters:Bowser who did it.
    2. Not only did she blame him for touching the comet, but she's also mean to Mario even when he saved her twice.
    3. She also forces Mario to fix up all the mess and collect pieces of the Sticker Comet and the Royal Sticker.
    4. She's kinda a spoiled brat because she's shown to be mean to the other characters. Especially mh:greatcharacters:Bowser Jr. because she called him a brat which makes her a hypocrite since she's being one herself.
    5. She also gets angry a lot really easily. She yells at Mario obnoxiously and treats him like an idiot.
    6. Kersti also refuses to give Mario helpful tips during boss battles.
    7. Gameplay-wise, she really isn't all that helpful. She's a major downgrade from the partners and pixls in the previous Paper Mario games.
    8. Speaking of the previous partners and pixls, Kersti is incredibly forgettable as a Mario ally. Compared to the previous allies such as Goombario, which all had separate and unique abilities/personalities, Kersti boils down to just a one-note diva who barely develops throughout the game.
    9. Waste of an emotional moment: At the end of the game, the audience is supposed to feel sympathy for her sacrificing herself, similar to Bobby. However, this emotional moment is ruined when Mario ultimately brings her back to life. A terrible example of the "fake death" trope, combined with a character that is insufferable.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. Despite her hostility, she does care for Mario and she lends Mario some power when she needs to.
    2. Her sacrifice after Mario defeats Bowser is sad, even though this is retconned when Mario brings her back to life.
    3. Her design is cute and beautiful.
    4. She has some nicer moments here and there, like the Sticker Museum curator, when she happily learns that there is someone who is passionate about stickers.
    5. Despite WSA'sAASF#4, she was right about Bowser Jr. being a brat, and mh:greatcharacters:Kamek being a nuisance.
