Keiko Morita (Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate; Megamind Rules!)

    Keiko Morita
Who thought adding a social media influencer character in a Megamind show was a good idea?
    Gender: Female
Type: Unnecessary and Annoying New Character
    Age: 10-12
    Species: Human
    Portrayed by: Maya Aoki Tuttle
    Status: Alive
    Media of origin: Megamind
First appearance: Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate

Keiko Morita is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Roxanne Ritchi) of the 2024 Peacock film Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate and its spin-off series, Megamind Rules!, which are based off of the 2010 film Megamind.

She is Megamind's biggest fan and the leader of the fan club named after him.

She is voiced by Maya Aoki Tuttle.

Why She Should've Been Crushed By The Giant TV

    1. She is an unnecessary addition to the franchise who has no connection to the first film.
    2. She only exists to appeal to younger audiences, such as referencing social media and memes in most of her appearances.
    3. She is a Mary Sue who moves the plot along and is always finding a solution for the problem, rather than the protagonists.
    4. Her relationship with Megamind is creepy as she should hang out with kids her age and not some grown man who's (possibly) in his 40s.
    5. The scene in Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate where she hits Chum with a bat, not recognizing him, was meant to be funny, but came off as Keiko being an idiot for not recognizing the giant robot.
    6. Her backstory isn't elaborated on aside from her going to a prestigious school and idolizing Megamind.
    7. It feels like she knows the entire plot line ahead of time, as she constantly is able to guess what's actually happing with startling accuracy, which feels like a desperate attempt by the writers to make her seem smart.
    8. While Maya Aoki Tuttle did a fine job voicing her, her voice can sound like Kitty Ko from Sidekick and kinda annoying at times.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. Her design is decent.
    2. Like mentioned above, while it can sound like Kitty Ko from Sidekick and annoying at times, Maya Aoki Tuttle did a fine job voicing her.
    3. She is pretty helpful and clever for her age despite not really helping her character.
