Kaito Goshikida is the main protagonist of Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger.

Why He Sucks

1. He's a loudmouth idiot with barely any personality besides that.
2. Unlike Takaharu Igasaki, who was also a loudmouth idiot, Kaito is incredibly two-dimensional and not even a full-fledged character, which makes him infinitely more poorly written than Takaharu.
3. He doesn't ever react whenever he's challenged by someone like Zox, who doesn't share his heroic worldview at first, which makes him seem shallow as a character and misses the chance for interesting drama and character development.
4. Wants to find his missing parents, but isn't shown to be all that invested in it. When he reunites and loses his mom again and finds out his dad is Hakaizer, he barely reacts.
5. His suit design is incredibly tacky and doesn't fit in with the designs of the rest of his teammates.
6. Hogs most of the spotlight despite having little personality. The final battle is him facing the villain all on his own.

Redeeming Qualities

1. His powers are also really cool, aside from using the Sentai Gears to gain various powers, he can use a ZenKaiju Gear to become Super Zenkaiser (Based on Dragon Caesar) and the Zenryoku ZenkaiCannon which can summon various rangers and his own jet.
2. Kiita Komagine does a great job portraying him.
