    Jeffrey Fecalman
"You fat, ugly bitch! If today wasn't your birthday!"
    Gender: Male
    Type: Unrealistic Domestic Abuser
    Species: Human
    Portrayed by: Ralph Garman
    Status: Deceased
    Media of origin: Family Guy
First appearance: Jerome is the New Black
Last appearance: Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q

Jeffrey "Jeff" Fecalman is a minor antagonist from Family Guy. He appeared briefly in the season 8 episode "Jerome is the New Black", and made another appearance as the main antagonist in the infamous season 10 episode "Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q". He is the abusive boyfriend of Brenda Quagmire, Glenn's sister, and was voiced by Ralph Garman.

Why He Intentionally Deserves To Be Killed By Quagmire

    1. To get the cat out of the room, he is portrayed as an extremely poor, insensitive, and insulting representation of a domestic abuser in such a relationship with a girlfriend (particularly Brenda, Quagmire’s sister) due to how his role as an abusive boyfriend has been taken up to 11 as well as how flat and one-dimensional his characterization is written out as listed below, which just shows how the writers didn't bother to do any research on the domestic abuser-type characters and how they act like in real life.
      • More infuriatingly, his portrayal as an abusive boyfriend and how he is handled as a whole is written strictly as a joke.
      • The series also doesn’t bother to give a reason or backstory as to why he is a domestic abuser. Instead, he seems to just be one for the sake of it.
    2. He has no personality or character development other than being overly mean-spirited and angry.
    3. His dialogue is incredibly painful to the nerve whenever he is around with Brenda.
    4. He complains about everything and is always in a bad mood for no reason.
    5. He is extremely cruel and abusive towards his girlfriend, Brenda, who is too intimidated to stand up for herself and just accepts the abuse he throws at her.
      • In fact, Brenda is so scared of Jeff, that she just accepts his abuse towards her as if it is a normal thing in a relationship.
      • He also beats up her brother, Glenn, and smiles about it.
    6. Most of the time, he'll abuse Brenda right in front of others and still get away with it.
    7. His last name is just laughably stupid. What kind of a last name is Fecalman anyway?
    8. Even after finding out Brenda is pregnant, Jeff still intends to violently beat her, which could lead to an unhealthy pregnancy, or even worse, a miscarriage!
    9. He always gets angry at Brenda for the pettiest and most ridiculous reasons, like accidentally parking in a handicapped space, and smacks her because he didn't understand a joke while watching The Jay Leno Show, which is just nonsensical and forced humor.
    10. He is very demanding and throws Brenda around without giving her a break.
    11. He is also a xenophobe as Brenda has said that he hates immigrants. However, this may be an excuse for the writers to justify his death.
    12. Unlike any other Family Guy characters, he has no proper redeeming or comedic qualities at all. Even Herbert “The Pervert” Silverman had comedic moments and saved Chris and Peter from their German neighbor.
    13. Because of the reasons listed above, he is one of the many perfect examples of a total Alpha Bastard due to his behavior and actions towards his girlfriend.

    Intentional Redeeming Qualities

    1. Like most other Family Guy characters, his design is decent.
    2. Ralph Garman does a decent job voicing him.
    3. He got his comeuppance in "Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q" where he was killed by Quagmire. His death was justifiable.
    4. Despite his poor portrayal, he's still supposed to be hated for his abusive nature, thus making him a hate sink.

    Trivia

    • Many critics have bashed Family Guy's depiction of Jeff. This is because, unlike many abusers in real life, Jeff openly abused Brenda in front of others and public, a sign that the show's producers didn't do any research. This is because real-life abusers generally abuse their spouses behind the scenes rather than out in the open and rarely over the top in their methods and behavior.
