    Hilda the Librarian
"IF I HEAR SO MUCH AS A PEEP OR SO MUCH OF A PIN DROP, YOU WILL BE THE FIRST CAT TO WALK ON MARS!!!"
    Gender: Female
Type: Neglectful, Ill-Tempered and Needlessly Loud Librarian
    Species: Human
    Portrayed by: Erika Scheimer
    Status: Alive
Media of origin: The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show

Hilda the Librarian is a character who appears in "The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show" episode "Heavy Booking", serving as a secondary antagonist. She is voiced by Erika Scheimer.

Why She Intentionally Deserves a Heavy Booking

    1. Not only does she rage at Tom for making the slightest noise, she also cares more about sleeping than doing her job and completely forgets about the baby she is supposed to be looking after, making her a very neglectful and incompetent babysitter.
    2. Hypocrisy: She tolerates the baby crying but gets angry at Tom when he makes the slightest noise. If you don't believe us, then look at this.
      • Speaking of which, she constantly tells Tom to be quiet, yet she's the one that's being too loud as she constantly yells at him.
      • Also, when Tom briefly swallows the drum which Jerry used to disturb the peace, she calls Tom "lard belly", despite being this herself.
    3. She's basically Tom's original owner Mammy Two-Shoes done 100% wrong and comes off more like the female version of the Gene Deitch-era's infamous Fat Owner. In fact, if you take away everything redeeming or likable about Mammy Two-Shoes, you are left with this character in a nutshell.
      • Just like Tom's notorious owner, she hardly ever shows any love or compassion towards Tom and instead treats the cat as nothing more than a punching bag to take out her anger on when she doesn't get her way.
    4. She is very loud, cranky, obnoxious, and short-tempered, as she shakes the floor with her jumping as she screams.
      • On that topic, her noise intolerance is supposed to be viewed as funny and comical due to its contradictory nature in a similar vein to Joe Bear from Tex Avery's "Rock-a Bye Bear". Unfortunately, unlike Joe Bear she doesn't really have anything we should like about her nor find her noise intolerance humorous and instead comes off as incredibly annoying.
    5. Her dialogue is incredibly and laughably bad, and Erika Scheimer does a terrible job voicing her.
    6. She physically harms Tom by kicking Tom to Mars after Jerry drops a pin on the floor at the end.
      • Speaking of noise, a pin dropping to the floor only measures 10 decibels (dB), which is 10 times less than a soft whisper, which measures 20 decibels.
      • The very fact that she is able to kick Tom to Mars using her brute strength alone by the ending makes absolute zero sense even by Tom and Jerry standards since no human being is that strong enough to throw an animal this far, even by the standards of cartoony slapstick.
    7. Her character design is terrible, as she looks like a generic, badly drawn, and whitewashed version of Mammy Two-Shoes.
    8. She has never been exposed as being a terrible babysitter, nor has she ever been punished or even called out for her neglectful behavior to the baby as well as her abusive treatment towards Tom, making her a huge Karma Houdini.

    The Only Redeeming Quality

    1. To be fair, she was unaware of the problems Jerry caused that got Tom into trouble as the latter two probably never interacted.
