Francine Rhenquist is a minor recurring character from The Simpsons. She is a bully who was introduced as a new student at Springfield Elementary School in "Bye Bye Nerdie".
Why She Intentionally Deserves To Be Punched In The Face
She is nothing more than a stereotypical bully. This persona is already used for other characters like Nelson Muntz and Jimbo Jones, except they're executed much better, while Francine fails in comparison.
She constantly bullies Lisa and every "nerd" in Springfield Elementary School non-stop. In fact, there isn't a single scene in "Bye Bye Nerdy" where she isn't bullying anyone (aside from her first introductory and when Lisa sprays herself with salad dressing).
Despite being introduced in "Bye Bye Nerdie" and having an important role in that episode, she seemingly was reverted to a minor recurring character in the show and has never had an episode where she has an important role in it, thus making her a pointless character to the series.
Even though she doesn't speak that much, her voice is pretty annoying to listen to, especially when she screams.
Unlike Nelson, she doesn't have a backstory as to why she became a bully and doesn't have any sympathetic reasons as to why she acts the way she does, making her even more unlikable.
Her reasons for bullying nerds make no sense whatsoever; she bullies children because they produce some type of chemicals when they sweat, which causes bullies to want to beat them up.
She is a Karma Houdini, as she never gets punished for her actions, not even her parents punish her, they just treat her actions like it's no big deal.
She nicely waved to Lisa when she had nose plugs in, showing that she could a nice person, despite the fact that she bullies nerds.
Like everyone else, her design is passable.
She is shown to have better cameo appearances in modern episodes.
Despited being underdeveloped, she is still supposed to be hated.
