Media of origin: Donkey Kong Country (TV series)
    First appearance: Donkey Kong Country

Dixie Kong is a major character from the Donkey Kong Country games. She made her debut in the second game, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest. She is Diddy Kong's girlfriend and love interest. She also appears in the TV adaptation and is voiced by Stevie Vallance.

However, she sadly received a flawed case of flanderization in the TV show, but she redeemed herself in her next CGI-animated appearance, The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Why She Was Not Our Dixie

NOTE: This is only focusing on the TV version of her since the video game version of Dixie is likable.

    1. She has shockingly little to no personality in this show and is just very shallow and bland.
    2. Her character design here is extremely ugly, and shockingly looks almost nothing like her original appearance, as unlike her regular design where she has eyelashes, green eyes, a pink shirt, and a big ponytail, this version lacks eyelashes and green eyes, and has a green shirt and a smaller ponytail.
    3. She serves no purpose to this show other than filler and is just there for no reason at all or is only there just for filler.
    4. Her pupils growing from "Kong for a Day" is just uncanny to look at.
    5. She keeps talking about losing her pets, even though we never get to see them.
    6. She never has any character development at all.
    7. She keeps trying to hit on Diddy unlike in the games.
    8. She has also done a lot of stupid stuff, like falling for Krusha imitating Donkey Kong by hitting on her and blaming Donkey Kong, even though he didn't do it. ...it.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. Stevie Vallance did a fine job voicing her.
    2. There were moments where she played a major role and was hilarious.
    3. She is good friends with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong much like the games.
    4. Her relationship with General Klump in "Klump's Lumps" was nice.
    5. She was a much better character in the Donkey Kong Country games, and redeemed herself in her next CGI-animated appearance, The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

    Trivia

    • Her pupils growing from "Kong for a Day" has become a meme.
