"I do have a future! I do, I do, I do!" Well, Diddy, this nasty interpretation of you is your future.
    Gender: Male
Type: The Bratty Side of Diddy Kong
    Species: Monkey
    Portrayed by: Andrew Sabiston
    Status: Alive
Media of origin: Donkey Kong Country
    First appearance: Donkey Kong Country

Diddy Kong is a major character from the Donkey Kong Country games, the Donkey Kong franchise in general, and the TV adaption. he is Donkey Kong's sidekick, or as Donkey Kong and Diddy says, "Second Banana". He was voiced by Andrew Sabiston.

Sadly, he was flanderized to the point of becoming really bad in the TV series, but he redeemed himself in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Why He Doesn't Have a Future

NOTE: This is only focusing on the TV version of him since the video game version of him is likable.

    1. His voice by Andrew Sabiston is incredibly annoying to listen to.
      • His singing voice is incredibly awful and sounds like he's trying to do a Mickey Mouse impression.
    2. Just like Candy Kong, he is much harsher to Donkey Kong on the TV show rather than in the games.
    3. He keeps manipulating Donkey Kong into doing bad stuff.
    4. Unlike in the games, his ego is much bigger here.
    5. Hypocrisy: He also makes fun of Donkey Kong for being a coward as well where he is often spineless and cowardly in a situation he gets into.
    6. He was at his worst on "I Spy with My Hairy Eye", where he plays pranks on all of the Kongs in the jungle after becoming invisible from the Crystal Coconut.
    7. Karma Houdini moment: Again, like Candy Kong, he barely gets punished for his actions and mostly gets off scot-free.
    8. His design, while closer to his video game counterpart, is very mediocre and hilariously ugly. Additionally, there are some inaccurate parts of his design, including his tail being shorter than usual.

    Redeeming Qualities

    1. There were still some moments where he cared a lot about Donkey Kong.
    2. He's still on good terms with Donkey Kong, despite what WHIDHAF#2 says.
    3. His design, while mediocre and hilariously ugly, is close to his in-game look.
    4. He was a much better character in the Mario and Donkey Kong games, and is a much better character in his next CGI appearance, The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
    5. He sometimes does get his comeuppance for his actions.
    6. Despite being incredibly annoying and his singing voice being incredibly awful as it sounds like he is trying to do a Mickey Mouse impression as mentioned above in WHIDHAF#1, Andrew Sabiston did do a good job voicing him, and this marks the first time where he has an official speaking voice and an official voice actor.
    7. He does have a handful of funny moments here and there, especially since he is one of the funniest characters in the show.
