Davey Stone is the main redeemed protagonist villain of the 2002 comedy film Eight Crazy NightsAMW. Once a happy boy, Davey turned to the darkside after his parents both were killed in a car accident, Davey then withdrew from society and developed alcoholism, emarking on a life of juvenile and adult criminal behaviour. Now in his early 30s, Davey spends the holidays drinking and causing trouble which he lands in with the cops. Before he is sentenced to ten years in prison, Whitey Duvall, a small deformed referee from Davey's former basketball team offers Davey a chance to redeem himself and the judge sentences Davey to eight days and nights of community service as a referee.
He is a clichéd designated hero who tends to make everyone feel as sad and miserable as possible during the holidays.
Even though he became nicer, he didn't even apologize for the horrible things he has done in the movie.
Adam Sandler made this guy such a horrible hateful monster, even after he lost his parents. To add insult to injury, his backstory was too dark and emotional to even be in a comedy film.
He is incredibly rude and offensive to minorities, the elderly, and fat people, especially when he insulted a fat boy by calling him "jelly jugs" and told him he should wear a bra which was incredibly unfunny and just plain sad.
He is incredibly immature, and does and says some pretty gross things. Like doing incredibly long and loud belches.
He's especially cruel to Whitey Duvall, who is a nice and considerate old man who spends the majority of the movie trying to help Davey cope with his problems, and keep Davey from being sent to jail due to his constant law breaking.
He learns the error of his ways at the end, and becomes much more nicer.
Like the rest of the characters in Eight Crazy Nights, he is very well animated.
At least his reasons to ruin everything is mildly justified, since his parents were killed, I mean how would you feel if your parents (or parent) was killed? That can’t be said for Amanda Killman, who ruins everything just because of Bunsen.
