    Crash Bandicoot (Radical Entertainment era)

    Crash Bandicoot (Radical Entertainment era)
Woah, Crash. What did Radical Entertainment do to you, man?
    Gender: Male
    Type: Mean-Spirited Bully
    Later Creepy-looking Titan Jacker
The Dark Side of Crash Bandicoot
    Species: Anthropomorphic Bandicoot
    Portrayed by: Jess Harnell
    Status: Alive
    Media of origin: Crash Bandicoot

Crash Bandicoot, is a video game character that was created by Naughty Dog, and his games were originally released on the PlayStation. When the series was being developed by Radical Entertainment, the character was flanderized in several ways.

Qualities That Didn't Deserve Wumpa Fruits

NOTE: This only focuses on Crash Bandicoot's characterization in the Radical Entertainment era, since Crash in general is likable.

    1. In Crash Tag Team Racing, Crash was much less of a hero, and instead depicted as more of an unlikable and mean-spirited bully since he can spin attack anybody, even Coco.
    2. In both Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind Over Mutant, he has been heavily redesigned, looking very little like his original Naughty Dog self. He now can jump onto and control the Titans, but neither game ever explained how or when he received this ability.
      • Instead of already having the ability he is best known for, Crash uses melee attacks to fight. No slide jumping, no air gliding, no Wumpa bazooka.
    3. In this era, Crash speaks with really annoying gibberish noises instead of being silent or saying interjections (like the iconic "Woah!"). Jess Harnell, his voice actor in these games, gives a poor performance since those noises are all he says.
    4. Unlike the Naughty Dog games, Crash doesn't use Aku Aku as a life meter. Instead, he uses the mask as a shield. Did he or Radical Entertainment forget how Aku Aku works in the original games?
    5. His Flanderization overall, was responsible for causing the franchise to go on hiatus for nearly a decade, right until Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy was released.
    6. He can be easily compared to Buddy Thunderstruck in the Get the Hock Out and Cannonballistic episodes from his titular show as the two are animals, the two are flanderized into mean-spirited bullies who torture innocent animals, the two have female members who voiced by Debi Derryberry (Coco and Muncie), are idiotic characters and the two redeemed themselves after they're flanderized in media they're appeared in (in Buddy's case, Thunderstruck Rab Cab (despite stupidly leaves his passages on the same wheat road instead of the place that they're requested as if it's the only place to be dropped off) to Stunt Fever and Mayor May Not to the Maybe Pile).

Good Qualities That Did Indeed Deserve Wumpa Fruits

    1. The Die-o-Ramas in Tag Team Racing gives Crash a good amount of comeuppance and karma for his stupidity.
    2. Titans and Mind over Mutant portray him as a real hero instead of a "bully" character.
    3. The later Crash Bandicoot games published by Activision give Crash his original look and personality back.
    4. Depending on your view, Jess Harnell gives a pretty unique iteration of Crash's voice.
      • We get to hear him speak for the very first time in Titans, as he says "Pancakes!" at the end of that game.
