Carly Shay is a main character in the Nickelodeon live-action sitcom iCarly. She was portrayed by Miranda Cosgrove.

Bad Qualities

1. She often makes stupid and nonsensical jokes.
2. She doesn't try to stop Sam when she does something bad to Freddie, and usually ignores it or giggles.
3. Her voice has become extremely annoying.
4. She can often be rude and careless.
5. She becomes sassier with every passing season.
6. Carly is just the same and doesn't mature at ALL.
7. Miranda's acting sagged a little after season 3.

Good Qualities

1. Her character is still decent. She even got a page on the Great Characters wiki
2. She's still a good friend
3. She still has personal struggles
4. She has done a great job at coping with her dad in the military.

• Miranda Cosgrove plays Carly and also voices Margo in Despicable Me.

Hello221, well like I already said, I think you’re confusing Carly Shay for Megan Parker. You do realize they are not the same character, right? Also, Drake & Josh came out a few years before iCarly. Miranda Cosgrove herself portrayed Megan Parker in Drake & Josh and Carly Shay in iCarly, but they’re not the same character, nor was Carly Shay a “minor character” in Drake & Josh either for that matter. Everything else in the article is not very well written because the reasons are either very vague or generic, and IMO not worthy of having an article on this wiki.

Well, I think the Carly your thinking of from Drake and Josh is a different one, not the Carly from iCarly, besides, Drake and Josh has ended when iCarly started, so I don’t think this Carly even existed yet during Drake and Josh, it was only when iCarly started that this Carly was created.

Hello221, Carly Shay was never a “minor character” in Drake & Josh. I think you’re confusing her with Megan Parker from Drake & Josh. They are two different characters portrayed by the same person.

I finally see her on this wiki for me, carly is a much worse character than sam, I repudiate this character even more than megan because everyone always has to do everything for her, they treat her like a queen, she takes advantage of all her friends, she even takes advantage of sam, and what I hate the most about her is that she always tells her that people are weird and because they are weird they deserve to suffer

I personally think this page should be deleted entirely because the reasons are either vague and generic. Additionally, the person who created this page has mistaken Carly Shay for Megan Parker. Miranda Cosgrove portrayed both characters but the two characters are not the same. They are just two different characters portrayed by the same actress. Carly Shay was never a “minor character” in Drake & Josh. I think the person who wrote this article has been confusing her with Megan Parker from Drake & Josh. They are two different characters portrayed by the same person.

Hello221, it’s not really about how the character acts or behaves, it’s mainly about how the article is written. While Carly isn’t a great character, she isn’t exactly terrible enough to warrant a page, at least IMO.

Hello221, yeah. And the thing is, we should only create articles based on general reception for the sake of consistency, rather than creating articles based on what a few people say in comparison to the many other people who may not share the same opinion. Which is why I think that’s what Miraheze’s weakness is but hopefully they are currently working on that, even if it takes long. You may not like Carly, but others may have a more positive opinion of her. Just my thoughts. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your time on the community.

Well the main reason I dislike her is because when normally Sam is hurting freddie, all she does is stand there and giggle. But then again, most people really like her, so we can't keep the page.
