"I-I didn't mean to hurt anybody..."
Gender: Male
Type: U.S. Army Captain, murderer, and war criminal

Species: Human
Portrayed by: Nolan North

Media of origin: Spec Ops

Captain Martin Walker is the main protagonist of the 2012 videogame Spec Ops: The Line. He is meant to serve as a deconstruction of First-Person Modern Military Shooter protagonists.

Note: This character is meant to be terrible.

Why He Sucks

  1. He is responsible for the destruction of Dubai.
  2. Everything that happened in the game was all so Walker could be known as the hero who saved Colonel John Konrad and Dubai.
  3. He used white phosphorus and murdered many soldiers including 47 innocent civilians.
  4. He stole what water Dubai had left, which ended up being destroyed dooming everyone in Dubai.
  5. He can murder many soldiers in very grotesque ways like when he can choke a soldier with his gun before snapping their neck showing how unhinged he has become.
  6. Throughout the whole game Walker constantly makes excuses for his actions. At one point, one of his friends, Adams, points out how Walker left them no choice but to take out an entire tower full of American troops to which he asked what happened to them. Walker's response is "Nothing...we're fucking soldiers".
  7. Depending on the players choice, Walker can betray and kill U.S. soldiers who have come to take him home in the epilogue.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. He did try to save Lugo.
  2. Nolan North did an amazing job portraying Walker.
  3. He serves as a great deconstruction of military game protagonists.
