Holly Tanaka (service number: 93312-28001-HT) is a Spartan-IV character from the Halo science fiction video game franchise and a playable character in Halo 5: Guardians. Like with many members of Fireteam Osiris, Tanaka has been very poorly received as a character overall.

    Why She Sucks

    1. She has very little personality whatsoever. Many of her lines are dull, lifeless, and boring.
    2. When controlled by AI, she becomes the most useless character in the game, as she will more often than not fail to help players when they need assistance.
      • This is partly due to Halo 5 having poor AI design compared to previous Halo games.
    3. She does not even feel much like a Spartan at all, instead feeling more like a character from a badly stylized adaptation of Dead or Alive meets RoboCop and Tron.
    4. Her line in the opening cutscene of Battle of Sunaion: "Come a long way together. Long way yet to go. Let's make a good jump like we meant to, and handle fools like we need to."
    5. She, along with the rest of Fireteam Osiris (sans Buck), ruined Halo 5.
    6. Her voice acting is terrible overall, likely worse than the famously, and deliberately, bad voice acting of House of the Dead.
